American Residential Warranty has been in the home warranty business for just under 10 years, but the company has steadily grown in popularity. If you are considering protecting your home, our American Residential Warranty review will address details about the company such as their available plans, prices, and even user opinions.
Although they have not been around as long as other home warranty companies, they have built what seems to be a decent reputation among its customers for its services. The following American Residential Warranty review will explain more.

Available American Residential Warranty Plans
There are four main plans from American Residential Warranty: Platinum Premier, Platinum, Kitchen Plus, and Heating & Cooling. - 30-day money-back guarantee
- Easy online claim submission
- Lack of coverage under certain circumstances
- Long hold times with customer service reps
Heating & Cooling
For this plan, you will typically pay $35.99 a month. It is one of the company’s most basic plans as it only covers four things:
- Central air conditioning
- Central home heating
- Interior electrical system
You are able to purchase add-ons such as A/C Advantage, Additional Air Conditioner, Well Pump, and more.
This plan usually costs $29.99 a month. It covers more than the previous plan, but it is the cheapest out of all the coverage you can receive from the company.
It covers items such as:
- Built-in microwave
- Garbage disposal
- Interior electrical system
- Kitchen exhaust fan
- Range, oven, cooktop
- Refrigerator (not including ice maker)
- Water heater
With this plan, you can also add-on extra coverage like with the previous Heating & Cooling plan. Some other add-ons include Ice Maker and Additional Refrigerator or Freezer.
The Platinum plan will typically cost you $46.99 a month. It provides coverage for electrical, central heating and cooling, and major appliances. To put it plainly, it combines everything you see covered for Kitchen Plus and Heating & Cooling plans. In addition to those items, if you have this plan, you can get 50% off Washer and Dryer coverage.
You can still purchase add-ons if you need more coverage. These add-ons include, but aren’t limited to, Pool & Spa and External Water or Sewer Lines.
The company claims that this plan is their most popular option. It costs $54.99 a month, and the coverage includes everything from the Platinum plan (including the 50% off Washer and Dryer). In addition to that coverage, you will receive the following:
- Ceiling fans
- Garage door opener
- Plumbing stoppages
- Plumbing system
- Refrigerator ice maker
As for optional add-ons, you can purchase similar items as you can with the other plans. However, there is one add-on only available for this plan: Deluxe Advantage.
The last plan to address in our American Residential Warranty review is the 3-in-1 Bundle option. It’s their most expensive plan, and it usually costs $94.99 a month. The bundle includes the Platinum Premier plan, the Deluxe Advantage add-on, and the Ultimate Electronics Protection add-on.
If there is still something here that isn’t covered and you want to be covered, you can purchase more add-ons such as Food Spoilage and Plumbing Advantage.
Concluding our American Residential Warranty review we can say that in a short amount of time the company has built up a reputation for offering a good amount of coverage and various plans for customers to choose from. You can also look at our home warranty in Florida article.
However, even with the good reviews, there are still concerns when it comes to the response time of their customer service as well as the specific stipulations that can prevent some items from being covered. If you want to learn more about customer reviews, you can check out Consumer Affairs.
